A great 1960's white earthenware pedestal vase with an unrecorded period pattern, probably a trial, on a Bokhara shape.

Dating: 1964 - 1965

Shape: An 8" (20cm) x 4.5" (12cm) pedestal vase designed by Robert Jefferson for the Bokhara range in 1964.

Design: The Bokhara range of hand decorated pots, kitchen jars and vases was designed by Robert Jefferson in 1964. The colourful patterns were inspired by the rugs of the same name produced in Turkestan.

Backstamp: Printed "POOLE ENGLAND" on the base together with the Poole dolphin. This backstamp was used between 1959 and 1967.

Painter: There is no paintress mark.

Condition: Very good orignal condition. Has some original glaze spots and minor original production defects.
