A striking Delphis spear dish in a late 1960's colour palette featuring an abstract multi-coloured design.
Dating: 1966 - 1967
Shape: A spear shaped sweet dish 17" (42cm) long and a maximum of 7" (17cm) wide. Printed with shape number 82.
Design: Delphis began as a studio range in 1963 and, although colour palettes were standardised in the 1970's, each piece is a unique expression by the individual artist. The range was withdrawn in 1979.
Backstamp: Printed "POOLE England" on the base together with the Poole dolphin. This backstamp was used between 1966 and 1980.
Painter: Signed with a mark by the paintress Betty Bantten, who worked on the Delphis section at Poole from 1966 - 1967.
Condition: Good condition.
