Poole Pottery 1930's Small Traditional Vase JV


A small red earthenware traditional vase with a jazzy multi-coloured art deco pattern.

Dating: 1930 - 1934

Shape: A 4" (10cm) tall balluster vase. Inscribed with shape number 116.

Design: Decorated with a traditional geometric floral pattern JV, probably designed by Truda Carter in the 1930's

Backstamp: Impressed "POOLE ENGLAND" on the base with a mark used between 1924 and 1950.

Painter: Signed with a monogram by the paintress Myrtle Bond, who worked at Poole from 1927 - 1942.

Condition: Excellent condition. Some minor crazing. Has an unusual white glazed hexagonal control mark to base.
