Poole Pottery 1930's Traditional Vase PB


A lovely red earthenware vase elaborately decorated with a traditional Truda Carter art deco bluebird pattern.

Dating: 1929 - 1934

Shape: A 5" (13cm) tall globular vase narrowing at the neck.

Design: Decorated with a great traditional pattern PB, one of a series of floral and bluebird patterns designed by Truda Carter in the late 1920's and early 1930's.

Backstamp: Impressed "POOLE ENGLAND" on the base with a mark used between 1924 and 1950.

Painter: Signed with a mark by the paintress Rene Hayes, who worked at Poole from 1926 - 1940 and again from 1945 - 1949.

Condition: Very good condition for age. Light crazing. Hexagonal factory control mark to base.
