Poole Pottery 1960's Small Delphis Vase

A very unusual Delphis period vase in a striking deep blue glaze with a light blue interior. This item has defied all attempts at attribution.

Dating: 1966 - 1970

Shape: A 4" (10cm) tall vase.

Design: Delphis began as a studio range in 1963 and, although colour palettes were standardised in the 1970's, each piece is a unique expression by the individual artist. The range was withdrawn in 1979.

Backstamp: Printed "POOLE England" on the base together with the Poole dolphin. Backstamp 47 was used between 1966 and 1980.

Painter: There is no paintress mark.

Condition: Excellent condition.
