A white earthenware map plate of Beaulieu stately home and motor museum. This design by Thelwall was commissioned by Lord Montagu for publicity purposes in 1968.
Dating: 1968 - 1970
Shape: A round 10" (25cm) plate.
Design: Poole produced a series of map plates starting with Poole Harbour by Robert Jefferson in 1963 and other designs mainly by Tony Morris. The outlines were transfer printed and then over-painted by hand.
Backstamp: Printed "POOLE England" on the base together with the Poole dolphin. This backstamp was used between 1966 and 1980.
