A white earthenware map plate of Norfolk made to commemorate the Norfolk Federation of Women's Institutes Golden Jubilee. This is a Tony Morris design from c. 1968.

Dating: c, 1968

Shape: A round 9" (23cm) plate.

Design: Poole produced a series of map plates starting with Poole Harbour by Robert Jefferson in 1963 and other designs mainly by Tony Morris. The outlines were transfer printed and then over-painted by hand.

Backstamp: Printed "POOLE ENGLAND EST. 1873" on the base together with the Poole dolphin. Backstamp 48 was used between 1967 and 1972.


Condition: Excellent condition.
