Poole Pottery 1930's Traditional Twin Handled Vase


A good red earthenware vase with an early and rarely found traditional art deco floral pattern by Truda Adams.

Dating: 1926 - 1934

Shape: Smaller version of the classic twin handled vase standing 5" (13cm) tall, with a maximum diameter of 5" (13cm). Inscribed with shape number 400.

Design: Decorated with a mid-1920's Truda Adams art deco design featuring stylised flora.

Backstamp: Impressed "POOLE ENGLAND" on the base with a mark used between 1924 and 1950.

Painter: Signed with a monogram by the paintress Hilda Trim, who worked at Poole from 1926 - 1942.

Condition: Very good condition. Some crazing, fairly dense in places.
