Poole Pottery 1920's CSA Pot Grapes TR Pattern


A small red earthenware Carter Stabler Adams pot decorated with a popular art deco grapes pattern.

Dating: 1925 - 1927

Shape: A small pot 3" (7cm) tall with a maximum diameter of 3½" (9cm) inscribed with shape number 288..

Design: Decorated with pattern code TR, a version of the grape design produced in 1921 by Erna Manners and modified by Truda Carter.

Backstamp: Impressed CARTER STABLER ADAMS LTD, POOLE ENGLAND to base. This backstamp was used between 1925 - 1934.

Painter: Signed with a mark by the paintress Ethel Barratt, who worked at Poole from 1922 - 1927.

Condition: Very good condition. Light crazing and some minor production imperfections.
