Poole Pottery 1930's Traditional Vase EE Pattern


An attractive small white earthenware vase in a popular and elaborately painted traditional floral pattern.

Dating: 1935

Shape: A 4" (10cm) tall balluster vase. Inscribed with shape number 116.

Design: Decorated with an elaborate traditional floral pattern EE, designed by Truda Carter in the 1930's. This pattern is sometimes known as Fuschia.

Backstamp: Impressed "POOLE ENGLAND" on the base with a mark used between 1924 and 1950.

Painter: Signed by the paintress with the letter R, believed to be the work of Phyllis Allen who was at Poole from 1928 to 1935

Condition: Very good condition. Fine crazing as is common.
