Poole Pottery 1920's Small Traditional Vase FE


An early miniature red earthenware vase with a simple floral sprig pattern on a grey ground.

Dating: 1924

Shape: A small 3¼" (8cm) tall vase

Design: Decorated with an early floral sprig pattern designed by Cissie Collett in c.1921 and heaviliy influenced by the earlier James Radley Young period patterns.

Backstamp: Impressed "POOLE ENGLAND" on the base with the letters and frame slightly raised. This backstamp was used between 1922 and 1934.

Painter: Signed with a monogram by the paintress Eileen Prangnell, who worked at Poole from 1924 - 1937.

Condition: Very good condition for age. Light crazing. Backstamp is unclear.
