A pleasing small white earthenware vase with a well painted bluebird pattern, a Truda Carter art deco design.

Dating: 1935

Shape: A 4" (10cm) tall balluster vase. Inscribed with shape number 116.

Design: Decorated with a great traditional pattern PB, one of a series of floral and bluebird patterns designed by Truda Carter in the late 1920's and early 1930's.

Backstamp: Impressed "POOLE ENGLAND" on the base with a backstamp that has been in use since 1930.

Painter: Signed by the paintress with the letter R, believed to be the work of Phyllis Allen who was at Poole from 1928 to 1935

Condition: Very good condition. Some light crazing in places.
