Poole Pottery 1930's Traditional Vase TY Pattern


A striking red earthenware vase decorated with a traditional Truda Adams art deco floral pattern on white ground.

Dating: 1927 - 1934

Shape: A 6" (15cm) baluster vase inscribed with shape number 267.

Design: Decorated with traditional floral pattern TY, an early medium complex art deco design by Truda Adams dating from the mid 1920's.

Backstamp: Impressed "POOLE ENGLAND" on the base with a mark used between 1924 and 1950.

Painter: Signed XX, which is the mark of paintress Hilda Hampton, who worked at Poole from 1927 - 1945

Condition: Excellent condition for age.
