A white earthenware pink base traditional vase with a less common art deco floral pattern. One of the first pots painted by Gwen Haskins in a long career.

Dating: 1938

Shape: An ovoid vase, 4" (10cm) tall with a maximum diameter of 5" (12cm). Incised with shape number 353.

Design: Decorated with an art-deco traditional abstract floral pattern designed by Truda Carter. This is pattern code FL.

Backstamp: Impressed "POOLE ENGLAND" on the base with a mark used between 1924 and 1950.

Painter: Signed X by the paintress Gwen Haskins, who worked at Poole from 1938 - 1977 and was senior paintress from the 1950's

Condition: Very good condition for age. Light crazing and minor glaze faults.
