Poole Pottery 1930's CSA Traditional Vase HQ


A good red bodied Carter Stabler Adams vase in a rarely found art deco floral pattern by Truda Carter.

Dating: 1928 - 1934

Shape: A 6" (15cm) tall vase with a maximum diameter of 4¾" (12cm), inscribed with shape number 271 to the base.

Design: Decorated with an art-deco traditional abstract floral pattern designed by Truda Carter. Marked with pattern code HQ.

Backstamp: Impressed CARTER STABLER ADAMS LTD, POOLE ENGLAND to base. This backstamp was used between 1925 - 1934.

Painter: Signed with a monogram by the paintress Dorothy James, who worked at Poole between 1924 and 1935.

Condition: Very good condition for age. Light crazing.
